Weak connective tissue or the natural ageing process of the skin can lead to sagging, drooping breasts with increasing age. Pregnancy and breastfeeding or weight loss can also result in similar findings, which can significantly affect the aesthetic appearance and body image.<\/p>

A sagging, drooping breast can be lifted and reshaped with a breast lift to create a firmer, more youthful and natural breast.<\/p>

The primary aim is to avoid unnecessary scars as far as possible. However, the prerequisite for a good result is the existing skin quality. <\/p>

Less sagging of the breast tissue can possibly be compensated for by tightening around the areola (periareolar tightening). However, the breasts may lose some of their projection and appear somewhat flatter.<\/p>

If the breast is more severely sagging, other tightening techniques (I and T technique) are used with a skin incision around the areola, vertically up to the inframammary fold and, if necessary, in the inframammary fold to achieve a beautiful result. The areola is repositioned upwards in this way without affecting the nerves and vessels that are important for blood circulation and sensitivity in the areola.<\/p>

If you also want more breast volume, a combination of a breast lift and the simultaneous insertion of an implant (Breast augmentation<\/a>) achieve a good result. This not only tightens the gravity-following tissue, but also compensates for the lost volume.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Yes, there are alternatives to breast lift surgery. However, they cannot be used to remove excess skin.<\/p>

A non-invasive method is radiofrequency therapy, which uses heat to tighten the skin and stimulate collagen production. This technique can help to improve the appearance of the skin and lift the breast slightly, but the results are not as permanent as with surgery.<\/p>

Laser treatments can also be used to tighten the skin and improve the appearance. There are also special exercises and physiotherapy that aim to strengthen the chest muscles and thus improve the appearance of the breast.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Before you decide to have a breast lift, you should fulfil a few important requirements. Good general health is crucial, as the operation is performed under general anaesthetic and the healing process requires optimal physical condition. Your body weight should also be stable, as significant weight fluctuations can affect the result.<\/p>

Smoking can have a negative effect on wound healing, so it is advisable to refrain from smoking for at least four weeks before and after the operation. The operation is performed under general anaesthetic and takes 2-3 hours depending on the technique. For all surgical procedures, we recommend wearing a compression bra day and night for a period of six weeks.<\/p>

The suture material can be removed after about two weeks. In general, you will be largely symptom-free again after just a few days and, depending on your activity, able to work.<\/p>

After a breast lift, the healing process is of great importance in order to achieve an optimal result. Immediately after the operation, you should expect a period of rest during which you should limit your activities and recover sufficiently. It is advisable to follow our instructions carefully, especially with regard to taking medication and caring for the wounds.<\/p>

Swelling and bruising may occur in the first few days after the operation, but this should subside over time. To support healing and minimise the formation of bruising, it may be necessary to wear special compression garments. This also helps to stabilise the tissue and support the shape of the breast.<\/p>

As the healing process progresses, it is important to avoid physical exertion, especially that which could strain the chest muscles. However, light movements and walks can be beneficial to improve circulation and support the healing process.<\/p>

Complete healing can take several weeks to months, with the scars fading and becoming less noticeable over time.
