Earlobe reconstruction or earlobe correction with and without surgery

An earlobe correction is either a minor surgical procedure that varies depending on the problem. Some people want to reverse the wearing of so-called tunnels to widen their ear holes, others have small slits in their earlobes due to wearing scissor earrings, or they want a reduction in the size of their earlobes, which are either genetically determined or enlarged due to the normal ageing process. However, minimally invasive padding of the earlobe with hyaluronic acid to restore lost volume is also possible without surgery.

All of the above earlobe corrections are performed on an outpatient basis under local anaesthetic and within a short period of time. Only the treatment of the earlobe with hyaluronic acid does not require anaesthesia.

When is earlobe correction/reconstruction advisable?

  • Correction of ear hole dilation
  • Correction of cracks in the earlobe (after an accident, wearing earrings)
  • Correction of signs of ageing with hyaluronic acid
  • Reduction of the earlobe
