Thigh lift / thigh lift
Thigh lift
Associated terms:
Thigh surgery, thigh lift, thigh smoothing
Excess skin can develop on the thighs due to age-related skin sagging or after weight loss. Due to the decrease in skin elasticity, exercise or dieting usually do not lead to the desired results.
The sagging tissue can lead to physical problems with chafing and rubbing when wearing certain items of clothing or during movement. Affected patients are often reluctant to undress, e.g. when bathing.
Surgery can remove the excess tissue and tighten the thigh skin. The contour of the thighs can be reshaped or regained in this way.
I will be happy to advise you individually in order to recommend the optimal therapy for your findings. Depending on the severity, various surgical options can be used:
- A small amount of excess skin can be removed by the tightening process of the Liposuction be eliminated
- If the skin is extremely loose, a surgical tightening is performed. Where possible, the scars are placed in the existing skin folds from the groin to the buttocks.
- Additional liposuction often helps to improve the result (e.g. in the case of so-called saddlebags).
After the operation, you will be given a specially adapted compression girdle which you should wear day and night for 6 weeks. During the first two weeks, you should avoid strenuous or prolonged exercise. Intensive skin care to improve the limited elasticity can have a supportive effect.
To avoid rare but serious complications, we usually carry out thrombosis and antibiotic prophylaxis.

Thigh lift with BTL Exilis Elite ™ without surgery
Associated terms:
Skin tightening and skin smoothing, thigh lifting, body shaping, fat reduction with radio frequency and ultrasound, radio frequency
BTL EXILIS ELITE™ is a non-invasive treatment system that combines two proven physical elements, ultrasound and radiofrequency, with integrated cooling. This combination is combined in one applicator.
The thermal effect of radiofrequency results in collagen shrinking, which makes it possible to tighten the skin. The effect of the heat causes the fibres to contract, making the skin firmer and smoothing out small wrinkles. As a rule, 4 treatments at intervals of 1-3 weeks are recommended, and the effect is immediate. However, the final result is only visible 3 months after the treatment. Immediately after the treatment you will be slightly reddened for about an hour, but otherwise immediately fit for socialising. This new, gentle and effective technique is particularly suitable for thigh lifting.
The therapy can also be used against the unloved orange peel skin (cellulite). It can be combined very well with shock wave therapy, the XWAVE™.
