Profilhilo® Structura - the latest generation hyaluronic acid filler with dual action
As we age, our body not only breaks down collagen and elastin, but also the body's own hyaluronic acid and fatty tissue. As a result, in addition to the formation of wrinkles, the tissue also loses volume and elasticity overall and some areas of the face appear sunken.

The latest generation filler combines two hyaluronic acids with different molecule sizes in order to visibly increase volume and elasticity, particularly in deep, subcutaneous fatty tissue, which continuously decreases with age.
What is Profhilo® Structura and what does it do?
Profhilo® Structura is a highly cross-linked, biocompatible and highly pure hyaluronic acid in which high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid combine under the influence of heat to form a hybrid molecule. It stimulates the adipocytes in our fat compartments to form new cells.
This special combination with the help of heating makes it possible to dispense with additives during production, which ensures very good tolerability and minimises the risk of side effects. The hyaluronic acid contained in Profhilo® Structura binds water in the fatty tissue and moisturises it from the inside out. Elastin and collagen formation is also stimulated. The tissue appears significantly rejuvenated, plumper and facial features are also tightened. Due to the special manufacturing process, Profhilo® Structura remains in the tissue up to thirty times longer than non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid.

What is being done?
Profhilo® Structura is injected into the deep subcutaneous fatty tissue using a blunt cannula. This floods the deep skin with new moisture. At the same time, fat cells are stimulated in a targeted manner, which is particularly beneficial for sunken areas of the face. This allows areas that have lost their elasticity to be plumped up again and even blurred facial features to be lifted.
What can be treated with Profhilo® Structura?
Profhilo® Structura can be used anywhere on the face where the skin suffers from a loss of elasticity and facial features are orientated downwards due to gravity. This can be sagging cheeks or sunken cheeks. Depending on the manifestation of skin ageing (sagging, sunken facial features or mixed types), there are specific treatment protocols for Profhilo® Structura, which are then used depending on the treatment requirements.
Is the Profhilo® Structura treatment painful?
You can feel the few small punctures through which the blunt cannula is inserted into the tissue. For patients who are sensitive to pain, an anaesthetic cream can be applied before the treatment.
Does the Profhilo® Structura treatment have to be repeated?
The result, which can be achieved with just two treatments, is a clearly visible freshness effect. Even facial features that were previously sunken and blurred regain significantly more contour. Regular top-up treatments are necessary to maintain this result in the long term.
What must be considered before Profhilo® Structura treatment
Basically, the same applies as before any filler treatment: We recommend avoiding alcohol one day before any filler treatment. The same applies to the intake of anti-inflammatory medication and aspirin (no intake up to 14 days before). In this way, the already minor side effects can be minimised and bruising at the injection sites can be prevented.
What do I have to consider after a Profhilo® Structura treatment?
The Profhilo® Structura treatment can be carried out very well during your lunch break. However, you should not exercise for one to two days after a filler treatment and avoid going to the sauna for about a week. The treatment takes a maximum of 20 minutes, depending on the treatment area. Immediately after the treatment, you can resume normal everyday activities without any problems. Possible small haematomas or puncture marks that are still visible in the first few days can be covered with make-up.
Can I combine the Profhilo® Structura treatment with other treatments?
Profhilo® Structura can be used in combination with the conventional Profhilo® can be combined with other methods to further optimise the treatment result. The hyaluronic acid contained in Profhilo® Structura ensures visible deep tissue moisturisation. For an even greater rejuvenating effect, combination treatments with the micro-focussed ultrasound of Ultherapy®, Botulinum toxin, others Hylauronic acid fillers, Radiesse® and operational measures be carried out.
