What is an aquafacial?
An aquafacial is a modern, non-invasive facial treatment that has been specially developed for deep cleansing, hydration and skin rejuvenation. It combines various steps of classic facial care with technologies from medical cosmetics.

How the Hydra4Face works®-procedure?
The gentle Hydra4Face® treatment concept offers an innovative, non-invasive method to restore the skin's health and beauty. The revolutionary skin care concept developed in the USA comprises four treatment steps for cleansing and moisturising with an immediate glow effect. Regular treatments specifically refine skin pores and reduce acne, UV damage and hyperpigmentation as well as tightening and rejuvenating the skin and improving skin tone.
The four treatment steps:
1. cleansing & gentle exfoliation
Gentle cleansing and removal of dead skin cells.
2. glycolic acid or lactic acid peeling
Gentle acid peeling, which opens pores, loosens sebum deposits and removes dead cells.
3. deep cleansing with vacuum technology
The vacuum creates a special negative pressure to remove the previously loosened deposits and other impurities as well as removing the harmful substances via lymphatic drainage.
4. hydration & active ingredient supply
Incorporation of important vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and hyaluronic acid. Thanks to the previous steps, the skin can now optimally absorb all substances.
On top: LED light therapy or lymphatic drainage
Finally, there is light therapy that is customised to your individual skin condition. Blue light, for example, for acne, red for ageing skin, green for redness.
What can be treated with an aquafacial?
With an aquafacial, you can achieve several immediate effects on the superficial skin in a gentle way. When used regularly, it contributes to skin health and can also have a positive effect on skin conditions such as acne. It also reduces skin discolouration (hyperpigmentation) and small wrinkles.

In principle, almost everyone is suitable for an aquafacial treatment. This procedure is also suitable for sensitive, mature or slightly blemished skin, including acne.
However, it is not suitable for people with acute skin inflammation (e.g. herpes, open wounds) or with acute rosacea, eczema or perioral dermatitis.
What are the side effects of an aquafacial?
An aquafacial is generally regarded as a safe, non-invasive medical-cosmetic treatment. However, as with any skin treatment, there are potential risks and side effects. Especially with sensitive skin or incorrect application.
Here is an overview of the most important risks:
- Short-term reddening of the skin is not uncommon, but disappears within a few hours
- Hypersensitivity reactions to the active ingredients used (e.g. fruit acids, vitamins, fragrances) can cause itching, burning and small pustules
- Temporary deterioration of the skin: the activation of the skin can lead to an increase in spots in the days following (especially with blemished skin)
What do I need to do after a Hydra4Face®-treatment?
The right aftercare is crucial to avoid irritation, inflammation or pigmentation disorders and to achieve the best result.
We recommend increased sun protection (SPF 50+) and generally mild care without irritating ingredients (e.g. retinol, fruit acid) in the days following the treatment.
When can I expect the result?
Immediately after the treatment, there is the glow effect that the treatment method is known for. The skin appears fresher, clearer, smoother and plumper. After a few days, pores appear refined, any redness has subsided and the complexion is more even. With repeated, regular use, the skin texture improves, impurities are reduced and hyperpigmentation fades.
