How does vaginal tightening with BTL Femme 360 work?

During vaginal tightening with the BTL Femme 360, a special probe, similar to an ultrasound probe used in gynaecological treatments, is gently inserted into the vagina. This probe emits radiofrequency energy evenly in 360 degrees, gently heating the surrounding tissue. The even rotation of the probe treats the entire tissue without overheating certain areas.

What is done?

During the treatment, the probe is inserted into the vagina and slowly rotated. It heats the tissue to a therapeutic temperature of around 40 to 45 degrees Celsius. This heat triggers the tightening process by activating and forming new collagen in the tissue. The treatment affects both the existing collagen and the production of new fibres.

Due to the natural ageing process or after childbirth, tissue slackening and hormonal changes can cause the vagina to widen, which can affect sexual sensation. This can be remedied by a vaginal tightening. A muscular tightening of the vagina is usually necessary (e.g. after multiple births).

Another problem is scarring in the area of the vaginal entrance after childbirth or perineal incisions, which can also lead to impaired sexual intercourse. In this case, the scarred tissue is excised during correction and the vaginal entrance is restored.

Both procedures are performed under general anaesthetic. We recommend an inpatient stay at our clinic. You should also refrain from sexual intercourse and tampon use for approximately 6 weeks.
