Introduction / General information

Who doesn't know them: those stubborn diet and exercise-resistant fat pads on the stomach, hips, flanks or inside of the knees? Losing the localised fat deposits in these problem areas without risking sunken cheeks, a flat bottom or losing your chest: an extremely difficult goal!
A balanced diet, an optimised training plan with a varied workout, stress reduction... The practical implementation of these measures can be very difficult for working families and often does not achieve the desired slimming effect. It is precisely in such cases that cryolipolysis can be a good solution to the problem.

What is cryolipolysis?

In the hands of an experienced specialist, cryolipolysis is a reliable method with few side effects that specifically reduces unwanted localised fat deposits and thus refines the body silhouette.

With this method, the respective fat deposit is sucked into the applicator by vacuum. The tissue beneath the skin is supercooled over a longer period of time using specially integrated cooling surfaces. This causes the fat cells to crystallise. These crystallised cells are then removed via the metabolic process within 4 to 12 weeks after the treatment, resulting in a measurable reduction in the circumference of the treated area. This means that the fat cells are not merely emptied, as is the case with most procedures used to date (e.g. ultrasound), but are permanently destroyed. If carried out properly, the skin does not suffer any damage. On the contrary, it improves due to the reactive increased blood circulation that occurs during reheating. Side effects of the procedure include skin tightening and a reduction in stretch marks and cellulite on the treated area of the body.

The treatment process:

Depending on the fat deposit and the individual desired result, it is generally necessary to carry out 1 to 4 treatments at intervals of around 4 weeks per body part.
Our device has treatment heads of different sizes and therefore treats both large and small areas reliably and in a controlled manner.

When should the procedure not be carried out?

  • severe overweight
  • after a heart attack
  • for diseases of the coronary arteries (CHD), angina pectoris
  • for collagenoses/connective tissue diseases (e.g. lupus erythematosus, scleroderma, dermatomyositis)
  • for vascular diseases/vascular anomalies (e.g. cutis marmorata, cryoglobulinaemia, Raynaud's symptom, cold intolerance)
  • for active cold or pressure urticaria (hives)
  • in the case of long-term cortisone therapy (from 1 year) or increased intake of cortisone (over 10 mg/day)
  • during pregnancy
  • on skin areas with open or infected wounds, haemorrhages, haemorrhages, impaired peripheral circulation or similar
  • for skin diseases
  • on scar tissue or for skin conditions such as eczema or dermatitis in the treatment area
  • with limited sensation of the skin
  • for lymph gland cancer or lymph glands that have already been removed

Can undesirable reactions occur?

In exceptional cases, side effects may include redness, swelling, bruising, localised numbness or tension. Cryolipolysis causes an inflammation-like reaction in the tissue (consciously), which the patient does not notice. Nausea does not occur under any circumstances; pain, burns and hardening are extremely rare.
