What is the function of the labia minora?
The outer labia have the function of closing off the vaginal entrance and protecting the vagina from foreign bodies, dehydration and inflammation. Labia minora cannot adequately fulfil this function. This is why the balance between form and function must be maintained during a correction.
What happens during labia augmentation?
During labia augmentation with hyaluronic acid or autologous fat, the desired filler is injected into the labia minora in a minimally invasive procedure. The amount depends on how much is needed for the individual.

Are there any complications or risks?
As autologous fat is an endogenous material and hyaluronic acid also occurs naturally in our bodies, allergic reactions are virtually impossible. Nevertheless, as with any injection, temporary bruising may occur. Sexual impairment does not occur, as sensitivity is not impaired.
What needs to be considered after labia augmentation?
In principle, after a labia augmentation with fillers, you are immediately socially acceptable again. Nevertheless, we advise our patients to avoid hot tubs, saunas and steam baths for about a week.
