Hand rejuvenation / hand lifting

Associated terms:
Hand lift, skin tightening, lifting of the hand, hand lift of the back of the hand, wrinkled skin on the back of the hand

A person's age is often visible on their hands. Until now, the main focus for skin rejuvenation has been on the facial area. The hands have been neglected, even though they are the most visible part of the face.
But the appearance of the hands is becoming increasingly important. A reduction in subcutaneous fatty tissue as part of the ageing process leads to increased wrinkling and the appearance of tendons, veins and bones showing through. The hands can also show age spots due to pigment shifts and sun damage.

The PRP vampire lift - natural hand rejuvenation with autologous blood

PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma and has long been used in medicine for wound healing and pain therapy. Platelets and plasma are extracted from the patient's own blood and injected with a fine needle - the most natural anti-ageing method imaginable. The skin on the hands, which are particularly exposed to environmental influences, renews itself from the inside out, forming new collagen and connective tissue. The hands appear significantly plumper, fresher and feel firmer. PRP is also used for Facial rejuvenationhair loss and in the décolleté.

Calcium hydroxyapatite (Radiesse)

With calcium hydroxyapatite (Radiesse®), a synthetically produced mineral substance, it is easy and convenient to restore the volume in the back of the hand that has been reduced due to the natural ageing process. At the same time, collagen synthesis in the skin is activated so that new collagenous connective tissue is formed. The mineral components are metabolised by the body over the course of months. As there are no special enzymes in the human body to metabolise them, as is the case with hyaluronic acid, for example, the results last a little longer. Hand rejuvenation in this way is effective, time-saving and achieves long-lasting results. You will be fit for socialising again immediately after the treatment.

Lipofilling

Another option for hand rejuvenation is to inject the subcutaneous tissue of the back of the hand with autologous fat (Lipofilling). The fatty tissue required for this is suctioned from the abdomen, for example, and then injected into the back of the hand. The hand then appears smoother and younger. This treatment may need to be repeated as the fat tissue may partially disappear.

Chemical peeling

Pigment shifts (age spots) can be improved by applying a chemical peel. By using different concentrations of organic acids, the superficial skin layer can be removed in a targeted manner. As part of the healing process, the pigment shift improves and wrinkles are reduced by shortening (shrinking) the collagen fibres of the dermis.
