Vaginal tissue changes over time, similar to the skin. Vaginal flaccidity or laxity can lead to reduced sexual awareness, satisfaction, unconscious urinary leakage and psychological problems. Radiofrequency therefore utilises the gentle release of heat to the surrounding tissue to effectively stimulate the formation of new collagen, which ultimately leads to a tightening of the vaginal tissue.

During the treatment, a disposable treatment applicator is gently and carefully inserted into the vaginal entrance with ultrasound gel. The treatment is performed 360 degrees inside the vagina in order to treat the entire vaginal tissue. By changing the applicator, gentle treatment of the vaginal entrance and, if necessary, the labia is also possible.
The superficial tissue is cooled so that the underlying tissue can be gently heated. This allows the high-frequency energy to penetrate the skin in a targeted manner to tighten it. Collagen formation is also stimulated in this way.

Due to the natural ageing process or after childbirth, tissue slackening and hormonal changes can cause the vagina to widen, which can affect sexual sensation. This can be remedied by a vaginal tightening. A muscular tightening of the vagina is usually necessary (e.g. after multiple births).
Another problem is the narrowing of the vaginal opening after childbirth or perineal incisions, which can also lead to obstructions during sexual intercourse. In the case of scarring of the vaginal opening, the scarred tissue is excised and the vaginal opening restored.
Both procedures are performed under general anaesthetic. We recommend an inpatient stay at our clinic. You should also refrain from sexual intercourse and tampon use for approximately 6 weeks.
